Male Map Turtle (per the long, thick-based triangular tail) basking. In captive enclosures I'd advise against having the turtle climb that high to bask near a hard land area (like the barrier between land & water here); map turtles in general have a rep. for being skittish, & any basking turtle could be startled & dive off the stump.
