Submerged Mississippi Mud Turtle. Ideally kept in enclosures with at least a substantial shallow water section & sloping bank, this setup is quite nice for this species. It would also be a good enclosure to watch to see how much time these mud turtles spend in land vs. water. Alas, some mud turtles tend to dig into land sections & aestivate at length, so depending on your mud turtles such a project may disappoint you. Photo: Richard Lunsford.
