Next is my nemisis the Flattened Musk Turtle, a turtle native to the Black Warrior River area whose wild habitat is threatened by siltation. It's in serious trouble in the wild & practically non-existent in the U.S. pet hobby. It's my nemesis because these 2 stay wedged into crevices in their enclosure's rear wall nearly all the time I'm there, and trying to get good photos is hard (I've even tried sitting in the floor waiting them out; they can hold their breaths a long time).
