An outdoor extension cord runs from the house to a garbage can, over the rim down into it to a surge suppressor power strip, & pond equipment (water pump, submersible light, submersible UV-clarifier) send their power cords to the trash can (likewise over the top rim, down to the surge suppressor strip). A lid is stacked loosely on top this, & a large plastic trash bag is inverted & slid down over the can like a sock to water proof the setup.
